1974 911 Carrera RS 3.0 Factory Race/Street Car, VIN#9114609088, India (Guards) red, with gold “Carrera” script and wheels, factory correct date stamped 15” Fuchs, 8” front and 9” rear, matching number motor and tranny, very rare, one of 52 made in the world, one of 47 LHD cars made. 24,000 original KM (about 15,000 miles). Has all the rare factory parts, the RS seats, fiberglass hood and spoilers and transmission oil cooler. The 74 RS 3.0 raced Group 3 as is, and these cars were the basis of all the RSR 3.0’s that raced Group 4. With the RSR’s, a total of 109 made in 74, and then in 1975, 12 more RSR’s only were made, all that went to teams in the USA for IMSA racing. While the 73 RS 2.7 tends to get all the attention as the first production RS made, the driving difference between the 73 RS 2.7 and 74 RS 3.0 is truly remarkable. While the 73 RS feels like it is about 80% 73S, the 74 RS 3.0 feels like it is about 80% RSR!
