1986 911 Carrera

This 1986 911 Carrera was custom rebuilt to my design from a tired old P-car that needed this RestoMod-Outlaw restoration for a new life! I had a 1958 SUPER coupe in 1968, an SC in the middle ‘80s and this is my last Porsche. I am 78. I bought and found all of the elusive parts and directed the P-car shop to create this new look. It is one of a kind—I have never seen this total look at any of the 3 Luft events I attended, PCA Werks Reunions or ANYWHERE on the internet. The detail changes are subtle, they don’t scream at you with bright colors, hugeness or gimmicks. Smooth, subtle, natural, modern with an overall “Bad Ass” look= BK—MGIC. I race in hill climbs up here in the Pacific Northwest, which are extremely dangerous and with the amount of money I have put in this car I have to be stupid to do this ...or is it I have powerful dreams, desires and passions and that is my driver to where I want/need to go. Beep, beep... move over here I come! CHANGES - front bumper is RUf 1987, modified to the 2017 RUF with a larger oil cooler opening for a better, more well balanced design for this bumper. Grill is out of my engine lid modified and mounted in place like RUF did. - rear bumper RUF 1987 (has cooling slats only below the license plate), modified to the 2017 which had vents then on the side of the bumper,s also to add more cooling to the engine. - my car had a Big, Red, Ugly, plastic reflector PORSCHE name between the two tail lights which took all of the attention at the back of the car. I had the shop sand that red off and paint it black to match the car, thus allowing the turbo steel flares and the RUF rear bumper to blend and enhance the beauty of those lines when they came together back there. - I wanted a certain 3-piece rim but it came in only 20”(semicolon) I found a shop in Texas that would make the rims. 3 months later they arrived. - all new black leather interior with silver stitching (“A” pillar out to wrap), 356 square weave carpet for the architectural look. The Carrera carpet looks like gorilla fur, the 356 is... ahhhhhhh. - this is my daily driver so I had to go through everything in the car over a 4 year period (bigger brake kit, suspension, LED headlights, exterior running lights, carbon fiber look hood (Resto=restore, Mod=modern, Outlaw=racing) and presenting the car as YOURS (see the stickers on driver side window of the parts in/on my car like they did in the ‘50-‘70s(semicolon) I had these stickers created to match the suppliers’ logos, whoEVER has done that to their car=No One!)
